Rock en Seine: CSS

CSS or Cansei de Ser Sexy (Tired of Being Sexy in Portuguese) is the art rock band from São Paulo. Who would have thought that the group that formed themselves for laugh (since they didn't know to play any instruments properly) would become such a crowd pleaser like now. Magazines like I-D, Vice and others mentioned CSS and the half Brazillian-Japanese frontwoman "Lovefoxxx"...and of course praised their songs of how they were obsessed with sex *coughs* and bitches (like that "Meeting Paris Hilton" song). When I was first introduced to their songs, I was giggling at quite a few parts of their lyrics(esp. in "Art Bitch") and with the loud and blunt sound of the guitar, bass whatever...It had become a morning ritual that I had to listen to the album every morning - it kinda energized me up to be alive for the following hours. I particularly dig "Art Bitch", "Alala" and of course "Music is my Hot Hot SEX"

Too bad I won't get to see them live. Must be fun....*sobs*
