Rock en Seine: Mark Ronson

As the increasing amount of junks on the available music channels on the French TV, I finally had a chance to convert my MySpace page to something meaningful. It has become my source to discover new bands and be enlightened about what's going on outside the mainstreams. Like Mark Ronson, I was searching for the new faces in music and found him through another artist profile. Mark Ronson has actually been known as a DJ and producer in both the US and UK. He's now out with the new album "Version" of cover songs like Morrissey’s "Stop Me", Radiohead’s "Just", the Zutons’ "Valerie" etc. Some critics say the album is a disappointment...which is always the case when someone is making a cover version of a legendary song. It might not be as great but they sound interesting and quite decent as its own. I actually like what I hear so far and am looking forward to seeing his gig this August.
